Did you know the sponge you are using to wash your dishes every day contains microplastic? See those small bluey bits at the bottom of the sponge? They are made from materials like polyester and nylon which are none recyclable and fall off on almost every wash, washing straight down our drains into our water systems. These microplastics then stay in the ocean forever, either being digested by marine life (ever seen how a whale shark eats) or making its way onto corals or the seafloor. Horrible right? It's time to welcome an eco friendly washing up scraper to your kitchen. Make the switch to a hand-made from coconut husk,100% biodegradable, plastic-free pan scraper now!
The Washing-Up Scraper fits neatly in the hand and is ideal for removing baked-on food from pans and baking trays without scratching. Each scraper will last many months and when worn out can be composted. Measuring approximately 11x7.5cm with a convenient string hanging loop.
How to use
Soak baked-on food in warm water and washing-up liquid. Use the Scraper to lift off food residue. The blade-like edge at the front and the fibrous coir fibres underneath acts like a scrubbing brush. After use rinse and hang up to dry from string loop. When the bristle-like edge of the Washing-Up Scraper starts to fray, trim with scissors back to a solid edge for months more use.
